Role:
- Provide advice and hands-on implementation of Jira Service Management configurations based on an Atlassian cloud-only strategy and clear endpoints.
- Setup and support JSM development, UAT development and production configuration changes including communications.
- Translate compliance controls to actionable risk mitigations for all ITSM solutions.
- Span technical boundaries between the agile Atlassian “production team” and the more waterfall ITSM program teams.
- Provide architectural input for connecting the CMDB, OpsGenie and JSM environments in a rapidly changing Digital Environnement.

Role:
A solid level Jira Admin that is a quick learner and is able to take direction, learn where needed quickly and simply get stuff done. They have a huge backlog of tech debt. This role will be ideal for an experienced Senior Jira Administrator that can help guide and share best practice with a various levels of Jira users. The objective is to standardise and bring every team member up to a self sustaining level to become more effective and efficient.
Suitable Contractor Skills/ expertise:
- Jira Cloud (Jira Software and Jira Service Management) administration at enterprise scale
- Ability to have discussions with end users of various skill levels (knowledgeable to “what’s Jira?”) to determine needs/requirements
- Understanding of collapsing fields
- Personable
- Bias towards action
- Desire for standardization
- Ability to assess functional needs and identify solutions turning that into successful implementation
- Desire to document and make things better for end users
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility
- Patience with a young, developing team and inexperienc
Tools that will be used:
Nice to have tools
- Scripting and automation is not at all essential but would be advantageous
- Jira Align is not essential but would be an advantage as they are tightly coupled with it.
